Aires Season 2025: Ace of Wands: A New Sense of Purpose

Intro: Ace of Wands: Solar Eclipse, Neptune in Aires, & A Soul Driven Purpose
I had to laugh when I pulled the Ace of Wands early this week because nothing embodies Aires like the Ace of Wands! Although we officially entered Aires season with the Spring Equinox, we have had a lot of planet activity dancing in and out of the sign, including Venus and Mercury retrograde and a partial solar eclipse in Aires (today Mar 29th, as I write this). Tomorrow, we have the huge transition of Neptune making its way into Aires. (Neptune in Aires is a BIG deal and there is a lot to unpack with that, some of it I share here, and some I will be sharing in a future post soon), but for now, let’s just say that although Neptune's heavy fog can dampen Aires fire, Aires flame cannot be extinguished and will ensure we continue to move forward.
Neptune is nostalgic and wants to keep replaying the past, but Aires is ready for something new. So, this combination will take the past and somehow bring it forward to fresh territory. In this

regard, I feel the Ace of Wands is providing us a new or rebirthed sense of purpose. Purpose is an individual experience and stems from personal desire. It comes packaged in many ways: new relationships, new career, new soul mission, new passion, new cause to stand behind, new beliefs, new projects, new family additions, etc. Whatever the “cause” or “purpose” is, Aires wants it to be a personal mission with an authentic foundation and for the highest good for all involved.
As the Aires fire burns off the Pisces Neptunian haze, it will blaze the trail ahead and embrace the new frontier before us as it looks for experiences and people that align with our new soul driven purpose. Translation… this is where it all changes.
The Ace of Wands
The Ace of Wands is the opportunity for a new beginning and fresh start. It is the burst of Spring energy that brings us to life after a long winter’s rest with optimism, ready for a new phase or chapter of our journey. It is a spark of inspiration. It is an initiation, it is a flash of creativity, it is passion, and it brings forth the desire and opportunity for new beginnings in all areas of life including personal identity, personal endeavors, careers, projects, relationships, and even life itself.
As we enter this portal of profound change (and in some cases profound challenges) it's clear that holding onto the past (Neptune/Pisces) won't stop life from moving forward into this new territory (Aires/ Ace of Wands), but the lessons of the past will be helpful in paving the path ahead. We are discovering new information and ways of thinking, new places, new connections, new ways of living, but mostly new versions of ourselves. For some this is a time of positive shifts and new directions that are more aligned with authentic living and soul driven purpose. For others, this could mark a time of challenge and confusion as we begin to recognize that things are not at all as they once seemed, and we are faced with reinventing ourselves out of force instead of by choice (for many this may be a career change as job losses will continue, relationship changes, or relocations).

This Ace of Wands offers us the chance to become pioneers of change as we step into our new, naked selves with confidence as we move bravely toward what we desire. This next chapter is where our character now understands who he is, what he stands for, what inspires him, what he stands for, what he is passionate about, and what he finds most valuable in life. The shadow side to this can be very selfish, ego-based behavior including fanatical and crazed ideologies and actions.
We must keep ourselves grounded with an intact moral compass, use discernment with the choices we make, and learn the art of non-reaction to people and events around us that may trigger us to respond in unhealthy ways.
Since Aces do offer the start of something new, unfortunately, this means something old must end. Some of us have been aware and working through “endings” or “deaths” for some time, knowing that long chapters of our lives are finally coming to close, but sadly, for others who chose to ignore the signs or take the necessary steps needed for change, there may be unexpected events that precipitate this energy.
For those who use this Ace as an opportunity for positive change applying integrity and good intentions for not only the self but for the others, this is an exciting time of possibilities. Many will open the door to fantastic opportunities and connections, to a new or renewed life purpose, and to highest potentials as humans, becoming leaders of the new tomorrow.
Those who choose to cling tightly to what used to be will find that they may miss the opportunity to embrace change and grow while facing the specific challenges that come with remaining an inflexible human with heels dug into the past.
And lastly, those operating with misaligned intentions including a selfish, materialistic, or lower state of consciousness (unhealthy ego led existence), will find that if they take this Ace of Wands for selfish reasons, do not operate from a space of integrity, choose the fast easy route for instant gratification (without working hard or earning it), disregard care of consequence, or cheat others… this Ace of Wands will not only burn out and amount to nothing, it will burn these people in the process. I would like to believe this includes our world leaders who are misguiding, misleading, and working under the mindset of greed, control, and self-gain.

Note: Use discernment with leaders in power, or new emerging leaders. Neptune’s influence can create false leaders or saviors, cult mentality, fanatical behavior, and psychosis/hypnosis.
Advice:
As it relates to people currently facing significant challenges and hardships (there are many), this is a call to find strength, bravery, and persevere. Aires are not quitters. They are the zodiacal warriors. This Ace wants you to dig deep, find courage, and seek out the hidden opportunities within the challenges you are currently up against. If you cannot find one, dig deep to find your spark, and keep it going until it can begin to burn with passion again.

As with any fire element, there is a caution is to slow down, especially as it relates to impulsivity and reactionary behavior. Be mindful that we do not get carried away with the fire energy as it can be very over the top. It can become selfish, self-righteous, angry, unpredictable, and even violent. Rebel without a cause. Use the energy creatively, constructively, and carefully. Be intentional. Be wary of losing your patience, temper, and becoming fueled by the wrong motivators.
Use anger to feed creation and purpose. Know that no matter how grim and dark the world may look or gets, there is always a spark of life and light to rebirth the flames of inspiration and purpose.
Intuitive and Real-World Application:

From an intuitive perspective, the particular Ace of Wands used for this reading is from the Tarot of The Witch's Garden by Sasha Graham. Although it follows traditional presentation of Arthur Waite style decks, its images are more mythological, and magic based. Generally, aces are usually presented from the hand of God. They are considered blessings or gifts from the Divine. This deck, however, shows the Ace coming from the hand of a witch, and the arm is wrapped in a snake, although not threatening, it could warn of a bit of danger or nefarious intent (of course this depends on context and the reader).
I would caution that we should be weary of people with misaligned intentions (I think this is more applicable to us on a political and societal level). Some of our proposed solutions, new ideas, and new leadership can be very attractive and tempting (especially if we are suffering or struggling) but we could be playing with fire if we take what is being offered at face value (remember the hidden hand that controls the puppet strings never gives without taking away… it always has a hidden agenda).
Speaking of fire, this energy does not bode well for fires, drought, and floods. I would expect more natural disasters in the way of fire, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions with more water events due to Neptune's influence (Tsunamis, flooding, and possibly contamination). With the nefarious hand holding the flame in the Ace of Wands, and Neptune’s overshadowing influence, we must question if things are as they really appear. Is there a hidden hand or agenda involved with initiating some of these events and incidents? Are they not so coincidental, accidental, or natural after all? These are things to consider... the cards never lie.

Recall that this Ace of Wands rises from the ashes of endings or is a result of obstacles and challenges. This isn’t just personally, it applies to our society, the systems, and the “muggle” world. In 2025 we will have several areas from which this will occur. Again, use discernment if there is a significant challenge or change that offers a “new and improved solution” as the solutions may not be in our best interest or the best solution for the long run. It might be a tempting solution for the moment, but the long-term consequences may be less than desirable. It could be a trap.
Additionally, Ace of Wands represents Aires. Aires is the home of Mars. Mars is action based, and it is a planet of conflict, war, and violence. This suggests intensification on the war front, and more division between the people and countries. Quite possibly the torch is being offered to the United States, meaning, the US will be getting directly involved with military and war activity. This may include division and conflict within its own borders, and we may see some type of Navy involvement with the Neptunian influence.

The torch reminds me of the Statue of Liberty, picket signs and a club. I would keep my eyes and mind open to that. This could suggest New York City as a significant location for events, it might refer to the statute itself or could just be the metaphor for which Lady Liberty was meant to represent.
Protests and picket lines may become more side spread as people identify with causes important to them, and jobs continue to be on the chopping block. Clubs… we can take this in two very literal ways. Clubs can be weapons. This could allude to mob or street violence. Clubs in a different context can suggest groups or organizations, some of which may lead to cult mentality. Tap into the Aires energy of individuation and don't be afraid to go against the crowd to create your own path.
Be mindful of causes you rally behind, people you follow for spiritual content, and groups you identify with. Although Aires wants truth and integrity, it also has a strong need to identify, and with Neptune’s influence it can bring forth cults and gangs, mob mentality, charismatic leaders with misaligned agendas, and mass psychosis/hypnosis.
We are standing a doorway that has opened to some of the wildest times we will ever experience as a collective. Use your moral compass for discernment and use intuition as your guide. Neither will steer you wrong.
Hold on to your integrity. Keep your faith strong. Find joy in the ways that you can. Embrace your humanness, connect with nature, honor our earth, love unconditionally, and above all else...protect your Sacred Soul. The world will try to take it if you let it.
