The Symbolism: Snake & What It Represents
The snake is a powerful symbol of transformation, renewal, and personal growth. Shedding its dead skin as a metaphor for rebirth and evolution, it carries a deep Plutonian energy. Much like the Phoenix rising, it represents cycles of life and death, creation and destruction, and the balance of light and dark. (The balance of light and dark is something I plan to fully embrace as the platform of my work this year, because we will need the ability to use both energies in a harmonic balance to navigate the road ahead).

In 2025, many of us will find ourselves going through profound personal transformation—letting go of old identities, beliefs, or ways of life as we step into new and different version of ourselves and of our lives, releasing the outdated, unhealthy, and fruitless ways of our past. On a collective level, society and its systems are also undergoing a major shift, mirroring this theme of destruction, renewal and reinvention.
Spiritual Meaning: Awakening & Wisdom
The snake is often seen as a guardian of wisdom and hidden knowledge. Spiritually, it represents untapped potential—potential that remains coiled within us, waiting for the right moment to awaken or strike. This year, many will experience awakenings with heightened self awareness, a deeper connection to nature, stronger connection to Spirit, and a new perspective of the world around them.
As old layers shed, new or hidden truth will emerge, guiding us toward profound clarity and a new understanding of life. However, we should note that transformation is rarely instant. It generally is slow process that is not necessarily easy. Some changes may unfold quickly and with ease, but others changes will be challenging to experience and will take time to process as shedding does require a degree of loss and separation.
Healing & Health
The snake has long been a symbol of healing, as depicted with medical symbolism. With the lunar nodes shifting into Pisces and Virgo axis, themes of health and wellness will be a focus. We may experience new or old diseases popping up and themes of "poison" (think venom) but we will also see "advancements" in medicine, shifts in healthcare systems, and a collective desire to improve well-being—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Some people will embrace the innovative advancements that the current Aquarian energy will bring (science and technology based solutions) while others will align with the more Virgo energy and gravitate toward natural and earth based remedies.
The Dual Nature of the Snake: Caution & Discernment
While the snake carries wisdom and renewal, it has also been linked to temptation, illusion, and deception—as seen in the story of Adam and Eve. This speaks to its Mercurial and Neptunian qualities, reminding us that not everything is as it seems. With Neptune’s strong influence, there may be misinformation, hidden agendas, or situations that cloud our judgment (think Snake Oil Salesman and remember that snakes can camouflage to their environment). It’s important to stay discerning, trust our intuition, and remain grounded in what is real and true. Neptune rules media and illusions, and with the Mercurial influence of communication, it is best to use the utmost discernment with what you choose to believe is true, who you choose to learn from, or what you choose to read/listen to. AI is making it more challenging to decipher fact from fiction.
Embracing Both Light & Shadow
Just like its skin, the energy of the snake comes in layers—it embodies both wisdom and illusion, renewal and destruction, fear and empowerment.
As we move through 2025, we may encounter moments of deep insight and understanding, exciting new opportunities, and a rekindling of hope. At the same time, we must remain mindful of danger, deception, uncertainties, and the presence of snake's shadow aspects.
This year will contain profound rapid change, and it is invites us to shed old layers, embrace transformation, adapt to our surroundings, and move forward with both wisdom and awareness.
Just as the snake navigates the earth with patience and precision, we, too, must tread carefully—balancing growth with discernment and intuition with truth and reality.
